Was trying to see if anybody knew of any that would work or has used some. I was trying to find one without the column shift since im putting in the floor shifter and Kinda wanted a nice one that I could put a nice looking steering wheel on. I know i could put one on any column but just looking to make a nice custom interior for my car so it can be a lil show with a lot of go 😀

Ive been looking for a new columb shift myself. Summit has a big selection, just have to pick a length + finish. Flaming river makes some really nice ones but are very expensive.

It'd be far easier just to find another stock column.

They don't make "direct-fit" columns for a G-body which means your going to be making modifications to even get it to work.

Two things you'll have to look at besides the length:

1) You'll have to weld on a bracket to bolt the column to the stock bracket under the dash
2) You'll need to make something that covers the large hole in the floor board which also acts to anchor the steering column as well.
3) If you want your stock transmission linkage running from the trans to the steering column to work correctly you'll need to add a tab to the steering column for this as well.

agreed with above, only he doesnt need to worry about the linkage to the steering column cause he said hes running floor shifter

That shifter linkage to the column is still there on floor shift models as well. Its what locks the steering wheel when your in park and keeps you from starting the car in gear.
Granted, you don't absolutely *need* it but it's still nice to have.

Good thread here.
I'd like to eventually put an aftermarket column in my (more race than street) car and put the column out of my car in my son's car to make his a bucket seat/console and floor shifter car. Mine came with bucket seats and console and his currently has a bench seat and column shifter.
