Anyone ever seen a C5 transmission and rear end swap?

Have a line on a C5 wreck, and have always thought about swapping the rear end, transmission and suspension into my Malibu. I can't find where anyone has done this on a G-body, anyone ever seen this done or looked into it?

Yeah! But now that I see this picture I can tell the control arms are going to be an issue! Looks like this cradle will be too narrow for a Gbody frame, which is manageable, but I'm willing to bet I'd need about a 10" backspacing to get my wheels tucked lol.

I'm sure this could be done, but if it's going to mean back-halfing the car I'm gonna have some second thoughts

I think it may be easier to drop the body of your Cutlass onto the C5 platform....
