I'm pretty sure it's the idle control switch but when I look up parts for my year it only shows the 4 prong TBI one. I'm looking for the 1 prong.

Could it possibly be for an 87 Monte SS? Or a 1977 AMC Pacer?

Look, folks, we (and I mean "I" when I say "we") don't memorize every member's car when it comes to looking for part numbers. Application, year, model, etc. helps to go a long way in narrowing down the part number in question.

Appears your GM p/n should be 17068272.

Ebay has one for a reasonable price. About 30 bucks. Looks the same as the RockAuto one.

Some people use different pictures (like you're alter avatar is likely a clown!) and have a screen name that doesn't exactly jibe with the car they're trying to find the part for. In my experience, you take out as many variables as you can. But I'm through with 20 questions. I'm too old for this sh*t.

Yes but the part name is the part name regardless

Year, make and model makes a difference with these particular solenoids. Plus, according to the parts book, they used a few different styles with different part numbers. Sometimes one size does not fit all.

I went off the screen name, too, but looked up 1986. The end of the model run can be a little tricky as they were trying new things, yet kept the old stuff in a bunch of places.
