I like the idea of using one of these boxes over just deleting the HVAC completely, but I can't find any reviews on them. Has anyone here used one?

I know they were not that common but maybe you can find someone selling a factory non ac case, that is what I used in my Monte.

It's been awhile since I was at the one yard off 22 in Blairsville/Derry Twp. but they did have a '78/'79 Elky with just the heater box. Renicks has some heater only cars but not sure how much Chevy only parts. Don't forget you'll need to swap out the glove box as the heater cars use a smaller one.

So is it a repop of the heat only GM box or is it totally separate?

Yeah I know it's a bit of an involved swap. The Buick 350 supposedly can have some valve cover clearance issues with the AC box, and even if it didn't I'd prefer the appearance of the heat only box anyways. My HVAC box is complete, but in pretty rough shape, so I want to address it regardless.

Are you ditching the AC?
