I get where you are going with that but if someone REALLY wants it they will get it one way or another i want to incovienience them as a detetent but not force them to break things luckily my car appearantly wasnt desirable enough to try super hard what i did was enough they give up but the more i do to it the more i would need to up the deterents i can also see the arguement that if it was fully restored the more they break the less desirable the car becomes but at that point theft insurance is a must as it helps replace anything that was busted in the attempt or any pieces stolen when recovered

I was just being sarcastic. Why not put an alarm on it or at least a blinking led so people think you have an alarm.

Bunch of fooking mutts.

They obviously don't know what they are doing since they popped out the cylinder.

They will be back!!

What state are you in?

i just remembered i left my regal out without the doors locked, and a ton of parts inside. if they try to steal it they are going to back straight into the police station and realize they have no brakes :)

Illinois i dunno might be a kid looking for a joyride or someone else from close by thats seen me driving around. A few nights ago called the police on some kids looking in neighbors cars and confronted them when they were walking towards mine and they threw a rock at the bay window of the house then last night around 11 pm i was out smoking and a blue 80s bronco with fresh paint stopped and never got out of the truck i waited outside til they left incase they were simply lost seemed odd so i made sure to take precautions since i couldnt put it in the garage

I've rebuilt many theft recovery G-bodys I don't know exactly what column you have but there are 2 different designs to keep the lock cylinder in the older ones just have a spring loaded clip and when you push the cylinder in they lock in place the other has a 5/16 bolt to access it you remove the steering wheel then you need the tool that compress the spring on the steering lock plate remove the snap ring on the shaft and the plate slides off the bolt will be just below the cylinder it's a weird bolt like the one that holds the pin in a rear I think you may need to remove the blinker cancel switch to see it if you do unscrew the flasher switch first then take out the screws that hold the lever and the cancel switch. I'll see if I have a broken one to get some pictures of
