Ok about to order some new bumper lenses and battery retainer for my Cutty. Found these on Gbodyparts.com:

https://gbodyparts.com/product_info...=1833&osCsid=ba3238319f1e26a1234ff9413e3c712d

But then I see these on Ebay....are they not the exact same?

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=332794595443

Same with these:

https://gbodyparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=216

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=323548057651

I am a big proponent of supporting small businesses, especially when it comes to our repop g body parts...but trying to figure out why the price difference is so great...plus the Ebay ones have free shipping as well. What would you guys do? Save a $30-$40 bucks w shipping and such or support a sponsor of our forum?

If you want a set of clear lenses You can have my old ones just cover the flat rate box to ship them

Thank you for the generous offer on the lights. I actually have some now but with being 30+ years old they are not clear and fresh and all the plastic chrome is gone. Im gonna grab a brand new set as I want brand new fresh ones for my semi-show car. But thanks again for the offer!

I'm now confused on the battery retainer...is that the correct one for the Cutty? I don't have anything now to compare it too.

I'm not following this straight vs. curved business.

22512299 is the part number for the HD battery in Regal and Cutlass. 22506770 is for NON-HD battery. Should be molded right there on top of the holder.

I think the only real difference is that the height of the battery is a tad shorter on the non-HD battery. I mean, they have to use the same mounting points. Thus the built-in spacer is longer to reach down and hold the battery in place. Otherwise they're very similar.

As far as the front lenses go, they're equivalent to GM part numbers 22506790 and 22506791. I don't know 100%, but I'm betting the repops all come from the same place in China. The main difference of the repops is that they chromed everything from the facing of the lens edges and the sides of the lens edges. GM supplier only hot stamped the chrome on the front edge of the lenses and painted the edges silver. You can visually tell the difference instantly like that. See pic below of a GM amber lens:

Repro prices used to be a little more palatable compared to genuine GM parts, but now they're approaching the same atmosphere. I agree that repro or NOS GM parts will be better than the 30+ year old stuff you have.
