with the A body Chevelle rear end the 64-67 were 2.5" wider than a G body, the 68-72 are 4.5" wider.....
I think the 73-77 were even wider than that.

Is it really 2"? I thought it was less of a difference- like 1".....

I have the 67 rear end in my GP and it is 2.5" wider. I have a 17x8" rim with 4" BS and 245-50-17" tires and I had to roll the lip a little on the quarter panels so the tire would not rub

I do believe the 73-77 was around 61-3/4 making it roughly 4in wider (vs 57.625)

Ive always thought an easy solution would be 4th Gen F body wheels as they have about 2in more back space
