Looking for suggestions on backspace and how to measure for proper fit of rear wheels w.out any mistakes.Have a 79 G.body that the frame has been notched big time.Going to run a 275 Drag Radial or a Drag Slick.Thinking 4.50 or 5"??

you can measure the width of the opening, measure where on the opening where the face of the drum is and you can figure what backspace you need to put the rim in the center of the opening

On my Monte I have a 15" x 9.50" rim with 5.50" backspace running a 295/55 MT drag radial and with my frame notch there is enough clearance from the frame and non of the tire sticks out of the wheelwell.
