Man, that is one ugly apparently homemade front end.
I wonder if those triangles on the sides are for suicide door clearance.

They look like the remnants of a skin graph.

We are picking on this thing (I am anyway), but someone put a lot of time into this. I truly hope he or she likes it.

If you want a 4x4 squarebody, you should just buy a 4x4 squarebody.

A decade or two back there used to be genre of cars built like that or similar. The term for them was "DONKS" Mostly they were the square body "B" series Chevs and similar.. There even was a magazine specifically published to promote and display them. As this one shows, one of the characteristics was those 22" or taller rims and a lot of the tech was devoted to the work needed to stuff them under the fenders; think no inner fender wells..... Supposedly they could be street driven but I'd hate to try to use one on the California interstates. They were not alone as there was, I think, two other build groups with different names that fell into that general category. U-glee doesn't begin to describe a lot of them.

Huh, forgot that the neighbour across the street bought a Ford Ranger that had been set up like that. What a butcher job. Not only had the inner fenders been hacked up,whoever built it cut into the heater box and half destroyed that too. When you got into the cab, the back cabin panel was carpeted to disguise the fact that about 80% of it had been cut away to gain room for the woofer; not only the cab skin but the front wall of the pickup box too. I did manage to find a cab skin in the yard, might even still have it because he never got to the point of wanting me to patch the damage. Drove it for a while and then lost it.
