Not really a barn find, but it has been sitting for about 25 years in a concrete floor machine shed.
It was my first car.

It would be a very good candidate for restoring, and I think I have my parents talked into selling it.
The car is about 100 miles from me, but I may be able to take a look and get some information about it.

What relevant information do I need to get to come up with a ballpark price to sell the car?

It was a 3.8L, the motor is out of the car but ran just fine.
It was a creampuff back in the day.
Unsure at this point about rust or interior shape.

As a roller a couple grand.

If you go through the effort of dropping the motor, changing fluids, changing brake rubber lines and bleeding, fresh tires and fluid changes, all the usual things.... then price depends on if any rust formed or the interior dried out.

Could be 6-8k or so

Got some more pictures.
It's a little rougher than I remember...but still a solid car for someone that wanted to restore it.

Original motor, actual miles...just a 3.8L, so not too desirable. lol

Not interested in doing anything to it, the car is 100 miles from me and my parents are ready to let it go.

Any guidance on what would be a fair price would be appreciated.
I have no sentimental desire to keep it, but I would like to see someone else get it back on the road.

Actually...where is it... was gonna ask for pictures but you beat me to it.

How's the rear frame rails, inside the trunk under the carpet, and the floors?

I'm guessing it's got the red pillow top seats inside? I'm a sucker for 1983s with the red insides, and like the heavily padded top and cornering lamps... hmmm..

Car is still in Iowa.
Very Southwest corner.
It has moved about 20 miles in the last 25 years.
Car should be accessible still, I'll see if he can get more pics.

Not really expecting to find a buyer here, more for a ballpark number to sell for.

Thanks

Elderton, Pa
It has rear frame rails & floors, it'll be a good project for someone. Try not to let a racer get it just to hack it & crash it.

Looks like a decent driver quality project. Doors rotted like many, as did a quarter panel. It needs plenty of time and tlc, but, is savable.

I understand the sentimental side, I still own my first car, a 1983 regal, and a clone of it I bought to drive more so if it ever got hit hard beyond fixing, it wouldn't be my first car.

I'm an anti-ls swap guy, and would be interested in the car if there's clean title to put a buick engine back into.... but it'd have to be for the right price as id have to consider i'd need to rent a trailer and cover travel/hotel costs to bring it back to Georgia.
