Anyone have this problem? I guess I need to grind a 1/4" off the upper A arm lip for clearance. Before I do,want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Currently about 1/32" clearance and the spindle will touch the upper depending on suspension location and if the car would turn right.

Holding the blazer 2 piston caliper up to the spindle and it seems that has clearance issues too, when the car would turn left it will interfere with the upper. The bolt connecting the bracket to the caliper will touch the arm before the steering is maxed out.

What the hell

I'm assuming that pic was taken with the wheel off. Try installing the wheels and put the weight of the vehicle back on the tires. It seems to me when I did mine I had the same issue at full droop with the suspension unloaded, but it corrected itself once the weight was back on the tires and at ride height.

Unfortunately it will be probably April before the car is on its own weight again, a lot of parts to put on. Grinding a little off isn't a huge deal, the brake caliper interfering with the arm seems to be a bigger deal.

I guess I thought this was all compatible. Hoping others have run into the same issue with the Blazer brake upgrade when using drop spindles.

Nobody has used belltech 2" drop blazer spindles and noticed interference between the upper arm and caliper when turning?

Turns out the belltech instructions say to trim the areas where I trimmed. If my kit had instructions I'd have known.

Instead of trimming the side lip off that the instructions said to cut off, I slit the lip, bent it back and welded it back together. Full clearance in the full range of motion now.

I wonder if you used a tall upper ball joint if that would have cured the problem. I think belltech ought to change the design of the spindle so no modifications are required.
