Is there a good way to restore the lower door panels? Dont really want to buy new ones yet. Mine are in bad shape. You can scrape off plastic with your fingernails, same goes for the rear (part that goes over the rear wheels and has the storage container) i assume they dont make those parts anymore. I was figuring just sand it smotth and cover it with some fiberglass and resign and sanding it some more and spray paint it.

Red sotchbrite them lightly the texture ( the flaking part) will come off and make them smooth.

Wash with DAWN dish soap let them dry in the sun

Once dry and warmed up by sun spray with SEM color of your choice.

They will look better than new

It depends on how compromised they pieces are. I found on some plastic parts, you'd try to scuff off the flaky crap, and it would wear a hole right thru.
I was thinking either using fiberglass resin, or SEM makes a texture coat, which I used on one of my pieces. The texture coat would almost duplicate the original surface....almost.
But it doesn't look half bad.

Wow!! Dawn is HOT....boingggggg! :p Me likes...
