Back in the late 80’s there wasn’t a lot available for the g body’s and that was when I had mine. Both of my cars had the 153 tooth flexplates/flywheels and used the stock starters. Are you able to fit 168 tooth flexplates and I guess mini starters in the g-body chassis?

Yes, both my Monte and Regal have 168 tooth flexplates and mini starters.

Ok thanks. I have a 468 with a set of chevelle headers to go in, and was not sure about the flexplate. I was a kid at the time and I remember my dad and his friend balancing 153 tooth flexplates to go on 400’s they were running at the time.

To be honest you should be able to run either a 168 or 153 tooth flexplate as long as it's balanced as needed for your big block. I know with auto's it won't make much difference with the weight but with a stick flywheel I noticed a difference going from a 153/10.4" clutch to 168/11" clutch flywheel on the 307 in my long gone '72 MC.

Well the issue was trying to find an externally balanced 153 tooth flexplate for a 454. If it was internally balanced I agree I could just use the 153. I ran a 10.5” clutch in my 78 with a 153 tooth 30lbs flywheel with my 465 hp 355.
