I’m getting closer to figuring out my brakes on my Bonneville. I’ve already done the backs with new cylinders, shoes and hardware. The fronts will need calipers, hoses and pads. But I do have a complete Blazer set that I got a year ago. It had new rotors, bearings, caliper and pads so I took the whole set.
Now I know guys generally say this upgrade will not work on 14” factory wheels but they seem to fit fine and clear the wheel. The caliper clears by over a 1/4” and the caliper ends where the bolts are have about 3/16” clearance . Am I missing something here as why they won’t fit? I hate to put them on and for some reason, have to pull them back off. Here’s a few pics. Any advice is much appreciated..timo22

IIRC, when I did my upgrade to the Regal, I later had to put an old 14" to roll it around, and had no clearance issue. the REAR is another issue though...

try bolting the assy to the wheel and see if it rotates the full 360* without hitting.

Thanks for the response. When you say the rear, are you referring rear blazer discs? If so, I am only doing the fronts. I had the set in the wheel , didn’t bolt it but it was fully seated and I did rotate it with no interference .

I just remembered that I did the f-body rears, and those will drag on a 15".

Blazer fronts will clear most 14" wheels IIRC. I can get my finger between the rim and caliper with the stock 15" alum wheels in my avatar. Its the LS1 rears where you run in to clearance as the caliper is larger
