The blower should be here tomorrow my plan is to simply drill the rivets out and reclock the motor on the mounting bracket.

We will see if it works.

Would this be the right part # for the blower motor?
SKP SK700103
It looks like it has the same single wire plug configuration.

Other than the depth of the squirrel cage, it basically looks like the same blower motor as a G-body. The mounting base looks identical. I have good feeling about it.
I'm anxious to hear what you guys have to say about it.

Steve, thank you for posting the information. Anyway we can upgrade our rides, the better.

This is another reason why I like this forum, there are things about the GP that I don't really think about but someone here will bring it up and makes me think about it. It's true that the fan is weak but it's one of those things I put up with....until someone starts a thread and gets me thinking about it. I'll be trying it out and see what happens...:)

Mine came in. Proved me to be a real a-hole as I overlooked the "rear" designation when I ordered it. It is different, but I'm such an a-hole that I put it in anyway. More power? Not noticeably. Definitely quieter.

Well.. something else to think about...
Even though the blower motors look the same ..they are not. Had my ..kicked on this so make sure you have the right application
Is the evaporator coil and heater core air flow plugged and hinder air flow? Remember the air flows through both
Is the fresh air intake under the windshield full of leaves and crap.
Is there a sealing issue on the evaporator/heater box to bulkhead
Just something to think about

I read somewhere that there is a metal squirrel fan that will work in our cars and move more air. I think it must have been on Turbo Buick Forum, otherwise you guys would know all about it. I will try and find it.

Here are the 2 side by side.

These are from Autozone

As you can see they are the same height and the fans are the same diameter.

The main difference is the blades on the fan.

I also ordered the metal fan I will post pics of that along side of these when it gets here.

I bought a new Four Seasons 35334 from Ebay and it came with the metal squirrel cage, it does feel like it blows more air and my original one still worked I just bought the new one so it was new.
