I agree with the plan of using it solely as a daily driver and spending money on only routine maintenance, but everyone's gotta admit not many people bring an N-car to a car show -- it's nearly certain the crowd would gravitate to your car because it's something different from the Corvettes / Camaros / Mustangs that regularly show-up and after awhile all look the same, so if you want some attention ...

Great looking Calais!
I love those cars, I've secretly had my eye out for one for a while... one of the only fwd platforms I enjoy.
A quick paint job and that thing is ready to go! Leave it stock or sell it to someone who will...

Converting that to RWD would be cool as hell. Costly, time consuming but it’s cool. John Moss did it to a 90s Monte Carlo at Chevy. It was built with a 502. I would if I had the space/$$$$ would love to do a project like that. But in the real world, daily drive it while you find what you really want. You’ll have it for parts chasing for a Supreme.

That Monte used a modified F-body floor pan to do that conversion. I had the Hot Rod issue that covered it.

As I remember, they said the 1/4s were stretched to accommodate a Seville rear end.

Let's not forget that the Super Stock NHRA cars of the era were these cars pulling 4 foot wheelstands going low 10s. Okay, they weren't all 4', but still...
