Brake hose rings?

Can anyone explain to me how these little rings go? One on each side correct?

Be sure that the rest of the hose is oriented correctly before you tighten the fitting, because those copper washers are generally for one-time use only. Unless you have a bucketful.

Not only that but the other end of the hose, the one that attaches to the frame stand off bracket, may only fit into that bracket one way. Not universally true but the end that accepts the banjo bolt and those two O-rings has to be assembled exactly as the old one was. If the banjo end on the hose is offset in relation to that hose, then it has to be mounted to the caliper with that offset on the correct side/facing the right direction, i.e. in or out as the original did, or things just will not line up.
