I need to replace the brake line on my 1980 cutlass supreme from the proportioning valve to the rubber flex hose above the diff. Anyone know the size of brake line I need? Also, the fittings are different sizes on each end of this line. Does anyone know what the sizes are of the fittings?

I forgot my section of brake line at home that had one fitting on it. I'd like to pick up the parts on my way home tonight if possible.

Here is a pic of my car. 20190508_215049.jpg

Thank you

Stainless Landau trim!!!!!

Thanks TURNA. Ya, the owner prior to me put the black material on. It's not done well and is coming up. I have the original stainless piece and it's on my to do list to get it installed.

Thanks everyone for helping me. Got all the pieces tonight. Gonna install this weekend. Brakes have not worked on this car in over a year. Gonna be a slow rebuild of the system making sure everything is working properly. Front brakes were starting to get and hold pressure when the (I think original) line blew out.

Thanks again

Thanks for all the info. Finally got my new line in. During my install of the new line and prepping for the rebuild of the drum brakes, I noticed the drum brakes were trashed. Shoes rusted and shoe material had chunks out of it. One wheel cylinder had brown rusty ooze flowing from it. So currently I'm ordering all new parts.

Here is my question. I already have new wheel cylinders for the rebuild. Could I proceed with mounting the new wheel cylinders and gravity bleeding the system while I'm waiting on the new shoes and hardware to arrive? I'm trying to keep moving forward... even at a snail's pace to get the rebuild done.

Thank you
