Digging around the parts books showed me what I needed to know. The case plug DOES seem to have a different part number from the regular MV9/MW9 for VIN engine code 9 and 7. Apparently it uses a universal 4 prong plug on the case. Is there an extra wire on a BRF than a regular MW9 transmission? WTF? Anyway, here's one if you need it. There's a ground for 3rd gear and one for 4th gear. Must be the difference. Hmmm. Anyway..... Ebay has some leads...

Also there's a pigtail......

A GN locks up in 3rd and 4th whereas most other 2004r's are just 4th.

I used a GN harness on a NA v8 2004r and had to use a dremel to notch the plug to go into the trans, you just loose 3rd gear lockup which is fine.

Any 4 prong weatherpack fits you just need to notch the male plug.

What exactly is the supposed difference?
Pin index slots are 180 out.
BRF has a 4 wire connection, all other are 3 wire.
Thanks for the links looked at some, hopefully someone has just the male side.
I want to utilize the 4th and 3rd gear switches independently to signal TCC sol.

Any benefit to locking up in 3rd? is it just the 1 mpg net gain?

Wait...that last link is a 4 pin male plug with 8 feet of wire. It's not correct?
