All spring and summer I've been finding projects to occupy my time and mind, since camping car trips are off the table. I got a couple nice leather bucket seats when I was building the wagon, though I didn't use them...but they were way to nice to let go. Now I've figured out what to do with them. It's so comfortable I kicked my feet up on the desk, leaned back and took a short nap in it!

I love it, Ed.
They look real comfy. Don't fall asleep when sitting too long.
Beautiful seats. I forgot, which seats did you end up using in the wagon?

Chrysler Sebring convertible seats - I don't have that annoying B pillar belt slapping in the wind anymore. FF to 2:45 in the video

Nice seats, Ed.
Well worth the effort to install. I like that the seat belts are integral to the seat itself. Much cleaner look and function. They must have been really comfortable on your last road trip.

I'd like to see what you did to mate the seat to the base. I have a Corvette bucket and a base that I kept that I want to do this to myself.

There's not much to it. I just cut some 1/2 ply the size of the seat bottom and attached it with the bolts that once held the tracks on. From there it's just fit up and finish out how you like. One thing to know, the pedestal post should be set right under your butt - if you get it too far forward it'll pitch you like a jittery colt.

I like the rocker arm pull handles on your desk drawers.

And the 'Oldsmobile'-branded custom office chair! Collectible?
