Buick 350 Camshaft fuel pump eccentric.

Dumb question, but my shop manual for my engine isn't on me right now, but what way does the fuel pump eccentril for a Buick 350 go on? Does the front side (the side with the keyhole shape in the pic) face the front of the vehicle? or does it face the rear and the flat backside faces the front? I r confuzed.
