Has anyone swapped a manual trans into a buick powered gbody?
Either a buick 350 or 455?
Just wondering If there would be any fitment issues with the buicks flywheel and gbody bellhousing.
Any input is greatly appreciated thanks!

There were 231's backed by 3 speeds back when they were still called A bodies. Shouldn't have any issues with the correct BOP bellhousing with the 350 or 455.

I believe the T-50 5 spd was also available with the 3.8 Buick as well.

Thanks for the quick responses, I wasnt sure if I would have to use an original 350 bellhousing. Now i just have to source a buick 350 flywheel

Try V8buick.com. I'm sure someone over there has one laying around.

If you can't find a flywheel you'll have to get one from TA. I'm in the same boat, except I'm planning to go with a non-G bellhousing and a hydraulic clutch.

I've looked into this before. From what I've read with the 455 at least since most buicks were automatics, there's an automatic and a manual crank. The factory didn't finish most cranks to accept a pilot bushing. This is duscussed in better detail over at V8 Buick.

Glad to see Olds isn't the only one with this issue. One of the issues when you don't drive the bottom of the GM barrel, most were automatic's for the gentlemen who drove them.
