Just got a '79 Malibu and before I start to search for the buildsheet I was wondering the best spot to look first.
I know that in the older Chevelles it was usually under the back seat, is this still the norm for g body cars?

Under the back seat is probably where you'll find it.

If not the back seat, check under the carpet, front seats, or headliner. Some cars didn't have em if I remember right. It wasn't actually supposed to make it into the cars and to the public, it was just so going down the line the workers would know what to put on/in the car.

I had a friend of mine who worked at GM in Oshawa and he was caught putting a build sheet under the back seat, he was never heard from again
