Is it possible that you have a buzzer for your key to tell you if you haven't removed it from the switch once you turn the car off and go to leave it that has shorted out?
I do have the key remind buzzer, but that is working fine. I’ve had to put this search on hold because I’m getting rid of the carb and installing EFI. I’ll update this post once I figure it out.

Temporary disconnect MSD. If that fixes it see if you have a capacitor on the tach side of the coil. It will be bote the the forewall

Some where there is a bad ground. You are hearing the whining from the alternator. Feeding back through all of the electrical. First I would disconnect the alternator belt. Then start the car. If this cleared up the noise. Then you adleast know what you are searching for.

It ended up being the MSD blaster ss coil after all. It actually sounds more loud from the interior (it’s mounted on the firewall) than the engine bay. I’ve even insulated it well and still sounds like an electrical transformer. Works fine, just loud as hell. I searched google and many others have the same issue, most complaints are from 2010 and earlier (I don’t remember when I bought mine, could’ve been 08ish). Has the newer MSD coils addressed this buzz, so should I move onto a different type of coil?
