Call anything a Cutlass and it'll sell

Easy/cheap to service (and not needed other than oil changes), 4bbl. V8 rated at 30MPG highway and gets 22MPG combined in testing.
Didn't have to be called a Cutlass to sell. It sold itself and there really wasn't adequate competition at the time.
Thirty plus years later, what hasn't been chopped up/modified or scrapped isn't understood simply because it doesn't provide instant gratification in performance handling or acceleration and requires too much attention/maintenance for what it is on paper. For a lot of people anyway.
