Classic Industries says they have them in stock for 179.99. And they have a sale up to 25% off if your order is over 199.00. (some restrictions apply). Worth a look

On both my Regal and Monte I filled the antenna hole and just installed this style electric antenna to my factory windshield.
I have never had a problem getting good reception.

Don't forget that cars with out the windshield antenna needs the inner hole drilled out on the firewall. Just use the hole in the cowl side as a guide. Had to do to a car years back.

I shaved the antenna on my Regal. I did what 565BBC did, but I just recently realized I have a Safelite windshield so I may wind up getting my windshield replaced anyways.

The power antenna is the 2nd most useless option (after the remote passenger side mirror). I repaired the power antenna on my Grand National twice. I got fed up with it and filled the hole in the fender and got the windshield and cable. There are 3 holes you have to drill at the base of the windshield (1 for the coax cable and 2 for the retaining screws). Thats it! Easy peesy and nothing to fail EVER again. Here is the cable you need http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=400928961004
