cant put my car in drive! help please.

i installed hedman headers in my el camino and didnt realize i cant put my car in drive because the column shift linkage hits the headers. has anyone had this problem and what can i do to solve this? the headers i have are these.. http://www.jegs.com/i/Hedman/500/68600/10002/-1

They fit for me and my setup.

Mine fit with a th350 and all factory linkage. Only thing I can't do is have a clamp in the area of the shift linkage.

i ran into a similar issue on a buddies bu.. you may have to modify the linkage bracket on the frame next to the proportioning valve. I had to redrill a bolt hole and re angle the linkage.

no i dont have any pics but there are instructions online on how far to move the hole
It was pretty easy, only an inch or so
