Caprice Dash?

Weird question, but I’ve been noticing some Caprice’s for sale lately, and based on pictures, during the 80’s there were 3 dash types I think?

Is it a certain configuration like the Brougham offering? Or have people been swapping in older era dashes? Perhaps this was a Canadian offering only?

As I saw a 88 Caprice with a completely different cluster, so I’m curious.

I believe '86 was the change as the B's went from being the Chevrolet to just being the Caprice Classic. Prior, the Caprice, Impala, BelAir & Parisienne all should of had the dash you're thinking of.

77-80 has a large window swept dash and wood trim. 81-84 has round gage style and knotty style wood trim. 85-90 goes back to sweep style and brushed aluminum trim but I've seen the brougham with the wood trim in 88s it has the radio and ac controls as one piece
