I agree. Besides, a 5-spd was optional back in '78 in a Cutlass. It does make me wonder why the original owner chose to not to go with a 2-dr with buckets and a 5-spd.

As rare as they are, the 4 speeds were in the v6 cars as standard equipment and the 5 speed was OPTIONAL on 260 v8 equipped or larger engines.
