Car problem

My car isn’t running right
Everytime push on the gas while driving
It making a loud humming like it’s trying hard toget gas. I change the fuel pump thinking that was the problem but it didn’t fix the problem. What are some problems that might cause this .
I will make a video later ..
I use 89 mid grade gas and was wondering could the gas be the problem

Assuming the carb is working right and the injector/accelerator pump is work working:
1. Fuel filter at the card inlet clean?
2. Is fuel coming out free flowing from the line coming from the tank?
3. If # 2 is NO then filter at the pick up may be gunked by decades of fuel, especially since most of our cars sit for long periods of time.
4. Getting enough fuel at idle and low speed and not enough at high throttle on demand indicates that somewhere in the from tank to carb there is an obstruction. Since you already replaced the fuel pump.
5. Does it rev ok from the carb linkage not the gas pedal?

Last but not least the dumbest question ever:
Is the floor mat preventing the pedal from full depression?
