I have a 1972 Olds 350 in my 1986 Cutlass. Currently there is a Rochestor Dualjet carb on it. Can I just swap it with a 600 Edelbrock or Holley? If so what do I need to know?

Thanks for your help!

If you have a 2 barrel carb, originally it wouldnt have been a dualjet instead a 2GC. Eitherway an aftermarket carb will not fit directly to the intake so you will need a different intake manifold at a minimum. You may be able to make an adapter fit but it will never work right.

Pick up either a used cast iron Qjet intake from a 307, 330, 350 or 403 from 66 to 84. The 73 and up are EGR but there is a block off plate available. Also the 80 to 84 aluminum Olds 307"A4" intake are available used. Do not use the 85 and up tiny port "A5" 307 swirl port aluminum intake. Also the Performer 2711, 3711 or Performer RPM 7111 aluminum intakes, new or used, are good choices. Get either a 750 or 800 cfm Qjet, 625 or 750 Street Demon or 600 or 650 Quickfuel tuned to your 350.
