I have a few questions about carb functions... Can i plug the vac ports on the carb or is it better to use them? Ive been using them but would like a cleaner look.
The disty is advanced 36° at 3k rpm, not sure if thats with the help of the carb or not? One of these tiny plastic "hose" that leads to the carb broke. It goes to the passenger side where i also found another small plastic hose. Ive also noticed the lever for the choke flap (driver side of carb) kinda catches and makes the car run at a higher rpm. I have to push the lever to release it and then it idles normally

I don't know what the vacuum lines go to in your car, but there is no harm to the carb to just cap them.

That plastic line is vacuum to open and close your heater position. Otherwise vacuum advance and PCV are all that are really needed.

Looks like one of those goes to your HVAC system

You will loose the heat/vent/AC door functions

One of the lines (driver side) goes to a plastic ball? Like your toilet float ball.

You want to keep the line to the distributor, as that controls vacuum advance. The line to the HVAC isn't super necessary but it takes a few inches of vacuum line to fix, so why go to the extra effort to block it off just to make your car less functional?

The plastic vent lines by the passenger side were brittle and broke when i barely touched them. I cant find any small rubber lines around town to connect it.

behind your dashboard there are doors that controls the heat to come out on the bottom or defrost to come out on the windshield

That vacuum line and ball are what allow those doors to move them

Oh ok. So if i had them in the defrost position before this project started they would still be in that position? Or does the vaccum hold it there as well
