Yours is very similar to the one I made 2 years ago, minus gauges, and cup holders

What's that to the rear of the cup holders? And also, wouldn't a wrecking yard console be about 30 something years old too?I would stick with OEM but unfortunately, they're incredibly hard to find in good shape, so an aftermarket is about the only option I have remaining.
My Consoles 34 year old plastic is just so brittle my rear-view mirror fell off my windshield (AGAIN...GRRR) and it literally, shattered the hell out of my console..
Looking at a Malibu one from a post here... looks to be the best, most economical route.. While I would consider yours, it A) doesn't have a storage compartment (at least, it doesn't look like it) and B) is just way too expensive for me.
A Malibu Console from a junkyard is $25, and a shade of Grey that would match perfectly with little muss/fuss, USB Ports, and storage.. Add a B&M Hammer with the leather shaft cover, and the wood trim around the shifter hole works out well for us who still have the wood grain dashes.

I’d just attempt to make my own console, especially a GP one. I bought one for a hundred bucks, and it was worth about $30 with how many chunks are missing. We were rebuilding our console today and it just shattered like the glass. Is it even worth looking for a 30+ year old OEM replacement or will it be in the same shape?
