Hello all, My name is Marc I am from Calgary Alberta Canada, and I have been working on my 87 Monte for 8 yrs. Was curious if anybody knows about these Champion radiators, as I have noticed in the past that they say they fit but they end up being a universal that really does not fit. I am new to this computer stuff.

I have one in my 86' Regal with a 355 SBC and it fits well with the 307 shroud, the only thing I had to change was going to larger hoses since the radiator has a bigger inlet and outlet than the factory radiator.
You will find a lot of people on here are running a Champion.

Mark, welcome to the forum. There are a few guys on here from Calgary.
I'm one of the other guys with a Champion. I'm running an LS swap unit, the fit and finish is great for the price! My only complaints are the drain petcock location, and on the LS swap the lower outlet comes straight out and makes the hose super close to the frame.

If the cooling capacity is not in your current radiator fans can only do so much.

we have our fan blowing away from the engine. should we reverse to blow towards the engine?
If the electric fan is on the front of the radiator it needs to be a pusher and force air through the radiator towards the engine, if it is mounted on the engine side it needs to be a puller to pull the air through the radiator towards the engine. no fan set up should move air away from the engine.

Here is a pic with dual fans installed. I made brackets for the fans to mount to the radiator hold down up top, and to the core support down low.
