Saw this on Craigslist, looks really clean. Bench seat car with T Tops. I don't know if the price is fair or not, I don't know what Aerocoupes are going for. I'd guess a little on the high side, but idk. Clean car regardless.

that has been a long time question of mine, wtf were the salesman thinking when someone ordered an SS or Aerocoupe or Olds 442 or GN and did not upgrade them to buckets and a posi, there are 8.5's out there with open carriers. You'd think if someone was coming in for a "performance" vehicle it would be an easy sell for performance upgrades.

I've seen SS with bench seats, usually they are '83 or '84's though.

The bench with center armrest was the standard seat for all SS cars . Just looked over the brochures.

15K miles? If accurate, and the car is pristine, being an Aero to boot? Slightly overpriced, but not too far off. Go in with cash and probably get it for a fair price.

And to answer pontiacgp question- the G-body H/O's and 442's came standard with bucket seats. You couldn't even get a bench if you tried. I'm sure the dealer would put one in if you insisted and paid them to do it, but otherwise, you got AR9 reclining buckets (A51 non-recliners in 87) and D55 floor shift w/console. Standard.

Yeesh. Looked at the auto dealer's website. They got more pics there. The underside is full of rust. Not just surface dust rust either. There's some pitting rust. You'd NEVER get the tie rods to move if you had to. Also, which is weird. I spotted one of those twist in spring spreader/spacers on the right front spring. WTF? Just about the whole front end underneath is crusty rust on sh*t that never got any paint. And some things that did. It wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker, but that price would have to come down some. It has not spent its entire life in a heated garage, knowhutimean, Vern?
