1983 Buick Regal. Converted from v6 &3 speed auto to 350 T5 manual trans. I'd like to add a clutch interlock switch because I've started too many things in gear, lol.

No idea how I'd go about doing this because the automatic was all mechanical rods in the steering column.

I do not like starting a standard having to depress the clutch pedal. Pressure on a dry thrust bearing when starting is something I don't like. If you set it up that you have to have your brake pedal depressed that could be used as a reminder to have it in neutral

I don't know what your using for a clutch pedal. But here are a couple of suggestions that could be wired into the the starter solenoid wire coming from your ignition switch.
First one is a factory style that mounts on the pedal. Has additional contacts for cruise disengagement.
Second is a floor mounted switch from an 89 cavalier.

to wire in the brake all you need is a relay and tap into your brake light wire to trigger the relay and use the relay to interupt the purple wire that goes to the S terminal on the solenoid.
