Got the shifter done. Now I need to repair the console where it has pulled away from the shell. Looking for some advice about what to use to glue it back down. Pictures are not great but you can see where it has laid over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used an adhesive called Welder, it worked well bonding plastic, vinyl and aluminum to each other which helped reinforce my warped and cracked console that I reconditioned for my Regal project.

Thanks. I’ll look into that.
I also used Welder to glue the vinyl back down on the seam where it separated on my used Ebay Grant steering wheel, that was a few years ago.

Sounds like it works very well. I think I will give it a try. That’s what makes this forum a great place. A wealth of knowledge and information. Thank you very much.

Just wanted to say thanks to 565bbchevy for the suggestion on the Welder adhesive. Works very well, and makes the top plate fit a lot better. Thanks again. 3ADEEACA-8AF7-4B37-BB1B-B4C88F89CA22.jpeg 3A05D0BA-D9D3-4EFB-A360-8179682C3476.jpeg 84FE479E-BE51-46EE-8840-6352D640511A.jpeg
