Been slowly picking away at this. Pulled the inner fender liners out of the shed and scrubbed the DS one down (because grime) and bolted it back in (there goes the light weight dream). This allowed me to start laying out the locations for the ECU, fuse/relay block, and the battery (yup, mounting it on the wrong side - good bye weight transfer). The battery is going there for now until I feel motivated to relocate it to the trunk (next winter?) - aids in getting the car running sooner too.

Grabbed some old power and ground wires and slapped them into place. Finally got to use my new lug crimper too. The good news is power seems to be going to all of the right places.

Still looks like insanity-flavoured spagetti soup.

Fuse block mounted. With lots of space underneath for wire routing/management.

I managed to started routing the main harness and even connected two wires to the fuse block before packing it in to play road hockey with my girls.

Nice use the the fender support brace!!

Actually it is made out of aluminum (most of the non-structural brackets are aluminum) for lightness - but it is definitely inspired by those fender support braces.

Getting closer. Consolidated some grounds for the relays and some for the ECM. Finished up the starter circuit and tested it with a halogen head lamp (needs a decent load to make a bright beam - plus it is easy to see from a distance or awkward angle). Other than that it is just a matter of connecting A to B like I mapped out weeks ago.

Major items still needed are a large gauge lead off of the alternator for the fuel pump, a lead from the alternator to the battery, a lead from the fuse block to the starter, and wiring in the boost controller/wideband. It is going to suck when I have to blow this all apart for some detail work - just to reassemble it again.
