That's a lot of rust converter.

Are you able to apply filler right on top of the rust converter or do you have to put epoxy over it first?

Just to be on the safe side, I’d actually sand most of it off first. Leave it in the pitted areas. Then epoxy over top.

Cool. That was my plan. The issue was obviously getting full coverage on the massive amount of surface area - overkill? Perhaps.
