I have a 78 GP 2-door and I'm looking for what drip rail trim from other models will fit. I believe any of the other 2-door non t-top models (G-body) will fit. I know the 4-doors and wagons are definitely different. Does this sound correct? I already have the B-pillar pieces so my question really only pertains to the A-pillar and top segments. Thanks, Mike.

If I had to guess I would say the 78-80 Monte Regal and Cutlass would work

After comparing the wagon and coupe pieces in my shop, the A pillar will have to be 2 door models, including El Camino. It is my belief that the uppers from a wagon could be cut to length and a simple cut/bend made at the aft end. Sedan as well, as long as the piece is long enough.

The OE numbers for the 78 GP scalp (drip) moldings are 20095958 (RT) and 20095959 (LT). These show to fit 78-80 G bodies

G bodies for 78-80 are GP and Monte.

Cutlasses are A bodies, as are Regal , Century, Lemans, and Malibu, which use different part numbers.

Just so people know I'm not talking out my *ss, this info was sourced in my 1981 Mitchell crash guide, and verified in the GM pars and accessories manual.
