Not quite true.

CQ body was designated for the 5.0 chevy engines, but, not necessarily a monte ss.

So, what youre looking at/for is a 1982 or early 1983 model vehicle that had a 305 chevy engine off that list.

Could be a Caprice? They used them that early on.

Odd because CQ valve body was denoted as performance shift timing with 5200-5400 WOT upshifts and green governor . I have a CQ in my 85 Monte Carlo SS and several other cores CQ,CZF & KCF, unfortunately the 82 CQ has been stripped down for
years and no longer have the valve body or governor. I probably had it since late 80's. Yeah there is no full sized B body car that would of had this valve body especially green governor for 3.73 gears.

I think it is an "O" not a "Q". Typos do happen so you never know.

Must be a typo. Should be a CQ.

MV9, CO is a 200-C in 1982. CQ should be where that CO is. Note the MV9 heading shows a CO code under it. Can't have it in both places.

A 1982 CQ calibration may be different than 1985 calibrations. If you don't have any guts for it, then it doesn't matter, it's just another case. For the life of me I don't know what a 1982 CQ MW9 would be behind.

I was wondering about a Cop Car, police pursuit package of something? That would be enough to trigger a high output v8

Actually digging through my stuff I Do have the CQ valve body (missing a couple springs) . I may disassemble both my virgin 85 CQ valve body and the 82 CQ and compare valves & springs.
