I was wondeirng if any knew a good site to order a good Oldsmobile 350 crate engine preferably 300-350 HP. If any one has any sites or shops preferably that ship to Canada or are in Canada.

Don't quote me on this, but I heard that if you order from Jegs (US) to Canada, you won't pay duties because they ship parts through their own broker, which covers all the fees, and that they do this to compete with Summit. You might want to look into it.

Too bad that isn't the OLDSMOBILE 350 that the OP asked for...

If I might get on my soap box for just a second, the term "crate engine" USED to mean a brand new engine in the crate from the factory. The term was first used when GM started offering brand new SBCs in the crate for aftermarket use about 25 years ago (yeah, I know, before most of you were born...). These engines used all brand new parts including brand new castings. Somehow, now EVERY rebuilt motor is a "crate motor". Hey, it's just a rebuilt.

As for Olds motors, naturally the choices are few. You can get stock rebuilt long and short blocks for a couple of thousand bucks, or you can spend more from an outfit like BTR. The point is, these are ALL rebuilds, just of different quality. There have been no brand new Oldsmobile 350 gas engine castings made since 1980.

Sorry for the rant. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming...

Not so much anymore. Joe Mondello is no longer responsible for day-to-day operations (he's got a new business in Tennesse now) and Lynn Wilfringer now runs the west coast operation. Few people have good things to say about it. Bottom line with Mondello is that you can buy better, but you can't pay more...
