Quick history. Pulled the 305 and put in a stroker with a TH350 years ago. I had the drive shaft shortened, and modified the existing cross member for duel exhaust. NOW... I want to put in a built 200 4R, the center hole is set back 6 5/8" where it bolts to the cross member, is there an aftermarket bolt in crossmember solution? I would hate to try and fabricate my own.
BTW the TH-350 and 2004R are identical in length so no need for driveshaft work, just the mounting location for the crossmember.

I have a Jegs crossmember for a th400 that works well with my 200R4 in my 86' Regal most people buy the G-Force one but mine works great and was only $100 to my door when I bought it.
Depending on the year of your car I believe 78'-83' you will need the frame extension available in the aftermarket to mount your new 200R4 crossmember or you can just fabricate one.
The 200R4 is about a 5/8" longer than a th350 with a 6" tail shaft so you should verify driveshaft fitment.

The cross member mounts to the frame farther back for the 200 4r. If your car is 82 or newer you should have them already. If not there's supposed to be a kit or you can just add the piece of channel to your frame and drill it up.

Thanks for the info! I feel better now.
Here is the page I got my measurements from
If the source is correct, they both are 27 11/16" end to end, but the mounting for the 200 sits farther back. My G-Body is an 80 Elcamino so I'm guessing I will need the extension.

It's an 80 Elcamino, I've looked hard at the area but there is no room to slide the crossmember back. Floor pans get in the way. I got lead on an aftermarket one so I think I'm headed in the right direction.

Yes the 350 and the 200 4r are the same length. I've gone the other way with that swap many times. The frame extension is referenced a lot. Do a search and you should be able to find all the info you need on it.

I will take TCI's word for it they are the same and you will need the extension.
I just Goggled GM trans length and these came up with 200R4 @28-1/4" and th350 @ 27-5/8"

I just did the same search, those results are goofy. If you look close at the TH-350, the transmission mount is longer than the actual case. That's impossible, LOL I'll stick with TCI and your recommendation for a crossmember. Thanks for the help!
