Weather you have a G Force or home made dual exhaust crossmember , what are the measurements of and placement of the C notch on the drivers side? I have a 350 transmission in a 79 Elco. May change engine later so I don't want to spend the money for a new one at this time.

If you change the engine it will not effect the Xmember.

I would cut anything until you see where everything lines up then

I'd like to put dual exhaust on it for now. I have plate steel and can fab pretty good. My last project I had to make my own headers, couldn't find any that even came close. As long as I have the dimensions of say a G Force I figure I can make do till I do an LS swap in the future.

Keep in mind that if you have a TH350 trans now and you change it to a T56 or an automatic overdrive the mount locations will be different.

In some cases the mounting location on the frame will be different.

I have a spare old style Iceman xmember similar to the Gforce style.

I had a T5 trans mounted. I believe it is the same mount for a TH350.and Saginaw/Muncie 4 speed.

If it doesn't snow tomorrow i will dig it out and give you the measurements.

if you want to use your stock TH350 Xmember with a 700R4 these are the mount mods I did to make it work

Thanx, I'm not planning the drive train swap any time soon,

I went into the garage and the 2 Xmembers are buried in the corner behind a small block and about half a dozen driveshafts.

I cant pull the car out to get to them with the snow.

So maybe someone else can chime in with what you need for now.

if not then when the snow melts i will dig them out.
