Try to make this short! So I got off the freeway the other day and pulled up to the light and the car was idling really rough! Gave car complete tune up last year. Pulled cap off and this is what I find.

So I replace cap rotor and ignition coil and still no change!

It probably threw off your timing. See if you didn't burn up any spark plug wires by your exhaust manifolds.
Wires all look good. Neighbor told me to pull wires off one by one and if the car idled different that cylinder was firing, if I’d didn’t change then that cylinder wasn’t firing... so I did this and apparently 4 out of 8 aren’t firing. I’m very confused

Did you use E3 spark plugs?

With the cap that badly damaged it would have thrown off your ignition and timing quite a bit. Because the spark would have been jumping around unchecked inside the cap and going to ground at the wrong times and places, it may well have taken out the coil as well.

I know you said you’ve done it recently, but for the price of the parts I would replace the coil and HEI module again. Could very well be the source of your problem with the new cap.

If it was running right before re-check your spark plug wires for correct timing.

I don't think its the wires (unless you made the wires) but if you start your car at night pop the hood somewhere there are no street lights if the wires are bad you may see them arcing on the engine or any other metal under the hood

Do an ohm resistance test on each wire and check the insulation very carefully. That almost looks like the rotor made contact or a bad misfire inside the cap blew it out. All new ignition components is a a good place to start, very weird indeed.
