So, I have used both before, no noticeable ill effects from either. I see Prestone mixes distilled water in their 50/50 coolant. Canadian Tire says Deionized water because they sell it. It is going in the big Autocity 2core aluminum rad which cools the 403 easily. Thoughts?

In my g-bodies, I have always run 50/50 mix with distilled water and an additive like Red Line water wetter but currently running Royal Purple Ice in both.
In my Monte over 30 years and my Regal going on 5 years both have aluminum radiator, heads, intake and water pumps.
Never any issues

I have heard Deionized water is very corrosive. Of course some claim the same with Distilled. Our tap water is Reverse Osmosis. I am leaning towards Distilled.

Distilled. Same for wet cell batteries.
