If they're the 4.75 bolt pattern they'll fit. Most years of 88s had the 5in.pattern.

yes, i have runs these, off and on, for decades. depending on tire size, spacers may be beneficial.

the 88 sedans and coupes without heavy duty suspension ran 5x4.75 for model years 77-85.

if your lucky, you may find a set of chrome sell rims. the center area was chromed and the spokes were frosted with silver paint(which can be stripped and the chrome polished). these also came with beauty rings.

Thanks oldsmobile joe. I do have the center-chromed rims. The pic I attached is one of them that I polished. I bought them not realizing that the backspace was different from the 442 SSIIIs. I was going to get 235 60 R15 tires, but I think I'll order 215 65 R15 for the first set just to be safe. Do you have a suggestion on spacers?

i don't know what year your dealing with. all my experience is with 78-79 cutlass.
currently my 79 wagon is wearing 215-65-15 tires all around. i have 1 inch spacers on the rear to help fill the wheel well. no rubbing issues front or rear, even when turning or entering driveways. i never tried this tire wheel combo without the spacers so i don't know if the tires would rub on the frame.

next car is my 78 cutlass salon, again I'm running a 1 inch spacer in the rear to help fill the wheel wells. tire size is 235-60-15, the only rubbing i get is at the fender lips when going in driveways with the front wheels turned. this wheel/tire combo will rub on the frame if no spacer is used.

both of these cars have similar wheel well shapes and dimensions.

when i had sslll rims on my 79 cutlass calais, again 1 inch spacers on rear for filling wheel well and preventing frame rub. tires were 235/60/15. no other rubbing issues on this car.

i hope this helps

Yeah, I should have specified, 1986 coupe. But that helps. Thank you.
