I need a name for this thing, I kinda am leaning towards Derkrautenwagon, I should start a poll.

Plush leather interior, agile and proven chassis, plenty of aftermarket and factory performance support....

People are scared of the maintenance on the garbage powertrain and drop them cheap. It's a win win.
LOL. Depreciated German sedans with garbage power trains…. They make perfect LS swap candidates. This is something that is always interested me but I have never had the time.

All I can say is factory aluminum torque to yield head bolts and every other fastener on the motor except rods and mains... Just why!?!

The transmissions aren't too bad, I could reuse the 6 speed fairly easily, if I could find a diesel spec 6 speed I totally would bolt it to the LS.

Best part. Bilstein B14 coilover kit is only $850 USD here in Canuckistan, and it is supposed to be badass.
