Just gotta say it was the '70's, big flashy stickers to hide the lack of horses. Pontiac seemed to start it with the "Fire Chicken" & others followed, so you could say it was borrowed.

What ??? Are you saying that the giant Black Widow that took up the whole hood of my '76 Monza Spyder didn't make it more appealing ? It made me buy that rotted hunk of junk and dump the '83 Delta 88 I was driving at the time. I don't know who they borrowed the idea from but it clearly worked on 18 year old me
