I am reusing the stock 5/16 return line, I always thought the return lines had under 5psi. I did a very similar thing on my 2+2 where I used the stock feed line as the return and pulled a new -6 AN line from the tank to the engine.

Basically I was too cheap to run another $100 roll of AN line from the front of the car to the tank for return. I am putting a 5/16 AN adaptor on the return line under the hood to get the return to the stock 5/16 steel line.

Well my next dilemma-

What rear axle to put in.

The stock 7.5 open 2.73 in the car has a blown wheel cylinder I have to address.

I have the posi 3.08 from my 2+2 laying on the ground I was going to put in, but I'm not sure it's going to last behind my turbo 4.1. I wouldn't care if it was an open rear or if the 2.73 didnt need a wheel cylinder replaced but I don't want to blow up a posi 3.08 rear since its still worth something and the 2.73 rear in the car needs some work.

Other option is to build a proper 8.5 rear for the car with disks (I have the parts sitting around to build one minus axles and rotors). I have the idea to chop the 7.5 center section out of the rear thats in the wagon now, weld in the 8.5 center section I have spare from when I blew my 2+2 axle shaft last fall and bought a spare to replace the shafts.

Basically I would buy some moser 30 spline Grand national axles, butt weld the zr2 S10 8.5 to the 7.5 tubes, and put the zr2 s10 calipers on the g body axle ends to end up with a 3.73 30 spline disk rear. Issue there is the car is down another month AND i have to build a new driveshaft for it.

If GM tossed the 7.5 and "spent" the money to put an 8.5 into the T-Type's/GN's ......................

What is a 7.5 posi rearend worth anyways? A ten dollar wheel cylinder. I would put either in and get moving while building a better rearend. The only thing is with the smaller gears it might be a little laggy or maybe not. They might lug the engine and make it work harder in witch would make it spool. You got groceries to be getting!

Yeah you got a point there. I'll either swap that posi 3.08 over since its a 1 night job or just swap the wheel cylinder. If I blow the posi 3.08 I'd better be on drag radials.

Anyways I made some progress tonight. I put the tank back in, did some wiring, zip tied some stuff up.

Back to the "Finish stuff on the car so I can move it and get the old 3.8 out of the corner of the garage" work

Changing the filter on the trans, changing gasket, and doing the governor mod to GN spec
Ish thats not great....

I was smart and ordered 2 governor gaskets 2 summers ago when I did the governor mod and put the right speedometer gears in my cutlass for 3.42's so this mod will be "free" :) Dug around in my bolt bin until I found it.

I ran out of carb cleaner so that shut me down for the night. Gotta grab some and clean the pan off tomorrow.

Dad shipped me the turbo gage cluster and as you can see, it needs some repair.

I might just light sand the woodgrain off the bezel and paint it silver like a GN.

The gages are dirty and the clock screen is cracked but i'm taking the clock delete plate on my current century gage panel and putting a cheapo tach in it. This clock panel will get tossed in the spares box.

Only thing left is the turbo boost gage, i would like to make it more useable but I dont know how or what. I don't want to put just a normal boost gage in it. That being said the green yellow orange lights aren't that useable for what I want.
